Clarinbridge Karate Club Top-grade instruction for physical fitness, self-defence, and sport karate. Classes take place in Clarinbridge Parish Hall, on Mondays, 8:00 to 9:00 pm, and, on Thursdays, 7:30 to 8:30 pm, commencing Monday, 6 September, for children aged six and over, teenagers, and adults. Cost: €5 per class. The ultimate form of self defence. Beginners are welcome. |
Marriage Preparation In order that there be adequate time to prepare properly for the sacrament of marriage, it is required that couples give a minimum of three months' notice to the priest[s] of the parish. Since 1 August, 1996, a marriage will not be valid in civil law unless three months' notification has been given to the Registrar of Marriages. The priest will advise them of the documents for the marriage. In general, these will be:

Be a Friend The Brothers of Charity have provided services to people with learning disabilities in Kilcornan for over fifty years. Many of us are familiar with Kilcornan through using the swimming pool, or enjoying the scenic walks on the grounds, but, perhaps, we could do more, as a community, to get to know and involve the residents of Kilcornan in the social life of the Parish. Many of the residents of Kilcornan would like to develop friendships with local people, and integrate better into the life of the community. A group of volunteers has been formed, who plan to partake in social events and outings with the men and women in Kilcornan. The emphasis is on fun and developing friendships. An information meeting on volunteer work will be held in the Oyster Manor Hotel, on Tuesday, 14 September, at 8:00 pm.
