Saint Gerard Majella

The Redemptorist Fathers, Saint Patrick's, Esker, Athenry, are holding a three-day festival, in honour of Saint Gerard Majella, from October 13th to 15th. Two sessions each day – 10:00 am and 8:00 pm. All are welcome. If you cannot attend, you may forward your petitions and thanksgivings.

County Galway VEC

The East Galway Adult Learning Centre [County Galway VEC], Abbey Street, Loughrea, provides free and confidential classes to adults who want to improve their reading, writing, spelling, and maths. We are now looking for volunteer tutors to join the scheme. Full training in Adult Literacy is provided by the Centre. For more information, please contact Sheila Holland-Fox, at [091]–847850.
