CCDA: Public Meeting regarding Cow Park Project The Clarinbridge Community Development Association has displayed details of the draft proposals for the Cow Park development in various outlets in the village, i.e. Kelly's newsagent, the Oyster Manor Hotel, Clarinbridge and Killeeneen national schools, Bridge Stores and Kilcornan Centre. The CCDA is extremely anxious that the community, as a whole, takes time to study the proposals. Please note that comments and suggestions are most welcome, and should be sent into the Parish Office marked 'CCDA: Cow Park'. A public meeting will be held in the Oyster Manor Hotel on Tuesday, 17 February, at 8:15 pm. All are welcome. Please attend and share your views/comments, etc. |
Umbro Collection Support the poor in Africa Unwanted clothes and shoes to help the African people. All types of clean and dry ladies', gents', children's clothing, as well as bed linen, curtains, towels and shoes are welcome. Collection takes place on Saturday, 26 February, before noon on the day. Items to be donated are to be left at the gates of Clarinbridge Church. For further information, see poster in church porch. |
Oasis in the City During the Thursdays of Lent, there will be Eucharistic Adoration in the Abbey Church, Saint Francis Street, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. During that time, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available. As usual, confessions will also be heard from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday. |
A Short Series of Prayer Reflections for Lent Would you like to reflect on the Sunday Gospel for the next four weeks? A group will meet on Wednesday nights to pray the scriptures and to reflect on their meaning in everyday life.
Perhaps you would come along for this hour as a special preparation for Easter. |
Vegetarian Cookery Course If your new year's resolution was to have a healthy, balanced diet, help is at hand! A four-week course in vegetarian cooking will be conducted by The Cobblestones Restaurant [Kirwan's Lane, Galway] at the Clarinbridge parish hall. The emphasis will be on nutritious and easy-to-prepare dishes, and you can easily enjoy the food afterwards with a glass of wine in good company. Class sizes are limited in number, ensuring maximum participation for each student. Starting on Tuesday, 22 February, at 7:30 pm, the classes will run over four Tuesday evenings, from 7:30 pm to 9:45 pm.
