Chrism Mass

On Holy Thursday morning, at 11:00 am in Galway Cathedral, Bishop James McLoughlin blesses the oils for use in churches in the Diocese during the coming year. The oil of Chrism, used at Confirmation, is blessed at this Mass. The bishop sends out a special invitation, to the boys and girls being confirmed later this year, to attend this Mass. Please try to get to the Mass if you have a child for Confirmation on 27 April, next.

Holy Week Ceremonies in Clarinbridge/Roveagh

See the card in the Easter Offerings envelope [there are some blank envelopes in the porch]. Information not on the card is as follows:

* Holy Thursday: 7:00 pm, Clarinbridge; 8:30 pm, Roveagh – after the Gospel, a little ceremony of the blessing of hands of new Ministers of the Eucharist, and, a renewal of commitment for serving Ministers of the Eucharist.

NB: Seats will be reserved at the front of the church for you. Please avail of those seats.

Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament

There will not be Exposition next Thursday [Holy Thursday]. Reminder: Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament takes place every Thursday, from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Thank you, all who make a special effort to "watch one hour" every week. It brings blessings on you and yours, but also on the whole community of Clarinbridge/Roveagh.

If you, dear reader, have never experienced this time with the Lord, why not try it after Easter? It does not have to be one hour, or half an hour, but, whatever suits your circumstances. The Lord welcomes you.

"Suaimhneas"

The meeting room is being used every week on Tuesdays, 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm, by that wonderful organisation, A.A. [Alcoholics Anonymous]. The Clarinbridge Community Development Association often meets on Thursday nights.

For meetings [except Tuesdays and Thursdays], please contact the Parish Secretary, at 776741 [Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm].

A sincere thanks to all who are contributing to repaying the debt on this facility. However, it is very, very disappointing that over 300 households have not made any contribution, so far. Maybe, if you read this, you might come on board. You may just have genuinely forgotten. Thank you, all.

Thank You

The Irish Wheelchair Association would like to thank everyone, who contributed towards their recent church-"gate" collection, which amounted to €690.
