First Holy Communion

Congratulations to the boys and girls who received their First Holy Communion in Roveagh church on Saturday, 14 May. Congratulations to their parents and teachers, and to the beautiful choir from their school, Killeeneen NS.

Roveagh Graveyard

Open-air Mass will be celebrated in Roveagh graveyard on Wednesday, 18 May, at 8:00 pm.

We ask all families and friends of those interred in the graveyard, as well as grave-diggers and monumental workers, to please refrain from dumping or damaging the lawns, under any circumstances, in this well-kept graveyard.

Thanks

Many thanks to all who helped in organising the special month's mind Mass for our late and beloved, John Paul II – the lovely flower arrangements, the very appropriate bidding prayers, the selection of gifts at the Offertory, and the choir.

Children's Remembrance Day

Céad Míle Fáilte

Priesthood in Galway Diocese

The Diocese of Galway is hosting an information workshop about Ordained Priesthood on Saturday, 21 May.

For further details, please contact any of the following: Fr. Derek Feeney, Kilchreest, 840859; Fr. Peter Joyce, Gort, 631055; Fr. Alan Burke, Galway Cathedral, 563577.

Dogs on the Lawn

We appeal, again, to those who have dogs in the Clarinbridge area, to keep them under control when in the church grounds. You can see for yourselves what is happening. When these dogs clean themselves on the lawn, it makes the cutting of the grass a very difficult and very unpleasant task. Indeed, it makes walking to and from the church a bit unpleasant.
