In a letter to Bishop McLoughlin acknowledging receipt of last year's contributions from the diocese the Secretary of State, Cardinal Sodano, said: "His Holiness is well aware that your people's faith motivated their contributions and their willingness to assist him in the exercise of his ministry. He is appreciative of this, and he prays that the Lord Jesus will grant you, and the whole Church in Galway, an increase of the joy and peace that flow from fidelity to the Gospel. With affection in the Lord, the Holy Father imparts his Apostolic Blessing to yourself and to your clergy, religious and laity". |

The Annual Colga Mini World Cup took place on Sunday, last, and, once again, proved to be a great day out. Over 170 children played in more than 60 matches, and the competition concluded with two exciting finals. There are too many people to thank individually, but, to all of the many people who gave their time and energy so generously, go raibh míle maith agaibh. |
