Clarinbridge Community Arts Festival: 1-9 October, 2005

Book Exchange

It's time to tackle the bookshelves, all those unread birthday and Christmas presents, the book on amateur photography, the round towers of Ireland, French regional cooking, the complete works of Oscar Wilde, etc.

Gather them up and have them ready for the planned book exchange, to be held in Clarinbridge, in October [as part of the Clarinbridge Arts Week], and get the books you've always wanted on your bookshelves.

For more information, contact Clare, at 796522.

Clarinbridge Cemetery

A piece of white marble has been taken from a grave. Relatives of deceased would appreciate, very much, if it was returned.

Notices in Church Porches

If you put a notice on a church notice-board, you should remove it when it is out-of-date. Should you not begin to do so, it may be taken down sooner!

Prayers of the Faithful

In some parishes, these prayers are composed and read by lay people on Sundays. A family might like to do so, or a group, like the Altar Society, Apostolic Workers, Pioneers, etc.

Open to offers – 796208.

Church Ministries

Altar Servers, Readers, Ministers of the Eucharist, etc. – should it happen that you are unable to attend, please try to arrange a substitute.

Next Sunday's Readings

  • Jer. 20:7-9
  • Ps. 62
  • Rom. 12:1-2
  • Mt. 16:21-27
