Clarinbridge Arts Festival

1-9 October

Tickets are now available for 'Music and Memoirs at the Big House', taking place on Sunday, 2 October, at Kilcornan House.

The event will feature a presentation by Johnny B. Broderick, on the detail of Kilcornan House; a reading of Thomas Redington memoirs by Joe Murphy; songs from Noel McFadden; poetry from Pat Jordan; music from Úna Flanagan [harp]; John Flanagan [flute]; Mick Conneely [fiddle]; Marion McCarthy [uileann pipes] and Johnny Giles [flute]. There will also be a recital by Naomi Berrill on the cello, in addition to readings by John Quinn.

Tickets are €15 [which includes refreshments] and are available from Clarinbridge Antiques, Kelly's PO, the Oyster Manor Hotel, the Parish Office [before noon], and other local outlets. Autumn Offerings

Envelopes are ready, now, in the Parish Office. It would be greatly appreciated if the collectors for the various areas could pick them up, between 9:30 am and 12 noon, Monday-Friday.

Sunday, 2 October

11:30 am Mass in Clarinbridge

As part of the Clarinbridge Arts Festival, parts of this Mass will be "as Gaeilge". The text for the twenty-seventh Sunday of the year will be available in the Irish "duilleóg".

The Junior and Senior Choirs – together with some Irish musicians – will provide the music, and the Mass will have a harvest theme. Light refreshments, afterwards, in "Suaimhneas".

Clarinbridge Whist Club

Whist [a non-competitive card-game] will commence in the Clarinbridge Court Hotel on Sunday, 25th September, at 8:00 pm; continuing Sunday, 2nd, 9th and 16th October.

A fun night out, with the opportunity to meet new friends. All are welcome.

All notices for church notice-boards must be left in to the Parochial House or Parish Office beforehand, for assessment.

Notices should be of parish interest, non-commercial advertisements.
