Third Sunday of AdventThe first word of today's Entrance Antiphon, 'rejoice', sets the tone for our celebration on this Sunday.
Paul's call to his hearers is based not on the fact that their lives are successful and therefore ready for joy, but rather because the most fundamental thing which we can say about the universe is that its Creator is good and is for us.
The Lord is near.
"Are you the one who is to come ...?".
"Go back and tell John what you hear and see ..." [Mt 11:3-4].
