| 5th November | Boil water notice for Clarinbridge | | On Friday 2nd November, Galway County Council was notified by the HSE West that water testing had indicated high incidences of the organism ‘clostridium perfringens’ in the water supply in areas served by the Clarinbridge Public Water supply.
As a precautionary measure, the HSE West advised Galway County Council to introduce a Boil Water Notice in the relevant areas while further testing and investigation is carried out.
Accordingly, in the interest of public health, it is recommended that all
users of water supplies in the following areas boil water before use:
• Clarinbridge Public Supply
& the following group water schemes:
• Kilcolgan No. 2
• Killeely / Kilcolgan
• Roveagh
• Slieveaun / Gortard
• Stradbally, Clarinbridge
• The Weirs Kilcolgan
• Tonroe
• Tyrone
• Ballindereen
